Strength and Conditioning Coach

Christine is a certified instructor through the Manitoba Fitness Council. She is a certified resistance trainer (1 on 1, group setting, circuit training and group fitness).

She has experience in Body training systems: Group Power (weight resistance training) and group ride (cycle training on stationary spinner bikes).

She has extensive experience working with boot camp and circuit training programs for 15-17 year old high school students.

While employed at the University of Calgary Fitness Centre, she had the opportunity to monitor the Calgary Flames off ice training Program.

In fall 2006, she won the National Annual Women's Fitness Leadership Award.

Christine looks forward to working, and challenging all Evolution Hockey Development athletes. She will ensure an appropriate, extensive, and rewarding off ice program is developed for each player's individual needs.



Richard Burr

Richard Burr

Strength and Conditioning Coach

Richard is a Certified Athletic Therapist as well as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist specializing in athlete conditioning and rehabilitation.

A Graduate of the University of Manitoba, obtaining a B.A in 1989, BPE in 1991, Certified Strength and Conditioning specialist in 1998, and Certified Athletic Therapist in 1999.

He specializes in the strength and conditioning and rehabilitation of athletes, diet counselling and nutritional program design.

He serves as strength and conditioning specialist for the Winnipeg South Blues, and Portage Terriers Hockey Club.

He has served as the Head Athletic Therapist and strength and conditioning specialist for the IBA Winnipeg Cyclone Basketball team.

He has been a service provider for the Canadian Sport Centre for the last four years, working with some of Manitoba’s best athletes from track and field, tennis, squash, baseball, softball, rugby, beach volleyball, skeet, handball, and table tennis.

He has served the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for the last 9 years. He continues to serve them in the strength, conditioning and rehabilitation of professional football players.

He serves as strength and conditioning consultant for the Royal Canadian Mint for the last 5 years.

He performs presentations for Sport Manitoba and the Canadian Sports Centre on nutrition, strength, conditioning, and injury prevention for various Manitoba sports teams.

He has served as strength and conditioning specialist for The Law Enforcement and Security Training Academy of Canada, physically developing students to pass the POPAT Physical.
